What are Search Engine Algorithms and Updates?

A quick reminder what we gained in the last post, we discuss that what is Search Engine Optimization? What kind of benefits we would get after doing the correct SEO or applying the small modifications and changes that are permitted by most of the Search Engines?

Answer to the 1st question is that SEO means making small adjustments in our websites to make it Search Engine Friendly. And the 2nd Answer is that we do SEO to rank well on Search Engines and to get huge amount of Organic Traffic to our site.

How Search Engine Works?

So now the main question is that how search engines works and what kind of tools they have to rank all the sites and sorting and positioning sites in their search results for visitor’s or user’s queries.  There are so many like Tons of factors that will determine the position and rank of your site in the specific search engine’s search results for specific key terms, keywords and queries. Each and every Search Engine use different kinds of updates and algorithms to determine the best ranking of sites in its search results. For example Google is using panda and penguin updates for this purpose. Most of the webmasters, however they are new to this industry, they know these updates and also know what they are for. I do not want to confuse you with these updates and algorithms because Google never told anybody about these algorithms that how they work. These Algorithms and updates are secret properties of Google and Other Search Engines.

And there is a logical explanation to this fact, that if I know how these updates and algorithms work I can manipulate the search results and have an unfair advantage over all the webmasters in the world. So no one claim that he knows that how stuff works inside the Google. The only thing we know is that these updates are there to have a check and balance on the search results so that no one can manipulate or force Google’s or other search engine’ results in his favor.

These updates and Algorithms are adjusted, modified and updated regularly as an ongoing process to deliver the best quality search results to its users on daily basis and to remove low quality sites and content from the search results.
